In Loving Memory of Julia Perez

Julia Perez, 89, was born on April 20, 1937, in Moca, Puerto Rico, to Pablo Soto and Juana Acevedo. She passed away on September 4, 2026, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of family, laughter, and love.

Julia was the loving mother of five children: Eddie Hernandez, William Hernandez, Alejandro Hernandez, Carmen Morales, and Anna Perez. Her family continued to grow throughout the generations, blessing her with 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Julia was spunky, fun-loving, and truly knew how to enjoy life. She loved to dance, visit the casino, and bowl. For years, she bowled in a league alongside her brother, Luis, and even had her own bowling shoes and ball. Her family finds comfort in imagining Julia and Luis together again, bowling a few frames in heaven.

Julia also loved dancing with her sister, Ana Celia Lopez, and Ana Celia’s husband, Roberto Lopez. Those times, filled with music, dancing, and laughter, became treasured memories of a woman who simply loved having a good time with the people she loved.

For the last 15 years of her life, Julia shared a loving and devoted partnership with Ramon Acevedo. Together, they enjoyed bowling and dancing, trips to the casino, going out to eat, and simply spending time together. In her later years, Julia especially enjoyed watching Telemundo and WAPA TV and anything that could make her laugh. If you walked into her home, chances were good that a funny show would be playing, with Ramon right there watching alongside her.

As Julia’s health declined, Ramon remained faithfully by her side. He cared for her with patience, tenderness, dignity, and love, supporting and comforting her through the most difficult stages of her life. His devotion to Julia was a beautiful reflection of the love and partnership they shared. The care he gave her until the very end will always be remembered by her family.

Julia was preceded in death by her beloved sons, William Hernandez and Alejandro Hernandez, and her husband, Juan Perez, beside whom she will be laid to rest. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with those she loved and missed.

She leaves behind her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchild, her beloved life partner, Ramon, and many family members and loved ones who will carry her memory with them.

Julia will be remembered for her spunky spirit, her laughter, her love of dancing and bowling, and the joy she brought to those around her. Although she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she shared across generations will remain forever.
