It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Roger Vasquez, who left this world on June 7, 2025, in Midlothian, IL. Born on February 5, 1962, in Chicago, Roger’s life was marked by his gentle spirit, a delightful sense of humor, and an unwavering love for his family.

A dedicated pressman by profession, Roger brought diligence and passion into every aspect of his work. However, it was not just in his career where he shone; his true legacy lives on through the many hearts he touched throughout his life. Roger was a proud father and a devoted husband, cherishing the moments spent with his beloved wife, Connie Remblake-Vasquez, and their vibrant family. He found immense joy in raising his children—Roger, Anthony, Mykal, and Diana—instilling in them the values of kindness, humor, and dedication.

Roger’s nurturing nature extended to his grandchildren, with whom he loved spending time, creating cherished memories filled with laughter and love. Whether it was bowling, fishing, or enjoying a game of minigolf, he epitomized the joys of life’s simple pleasures. He was also an avid sports fan, often sharing his passion for the games with family and friends alike, and could always be found sharing a good joke or making others laugh with his witty remarks.

He shared a special bond with his stepsons, Roberto and Ricardo Remblake, incorporating them into his life’s journey with open arms and a warm heart. Additionally, he had the unwavering support of his sister, Renee Vasquez, as they navigated the ups and downs of life together. The loss of his parents, Roger and Diana Vasquez, deeply affected him, but he carried their love and lessons with him throughout his life.

As we honor Roger, we invite family and friends to gather for a Visitation at McKenzie Funeral Home in Oak Forest, IL, on June 14, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Together, we will remember a man whose laughter and gentle spirit brought light into our lives, a man whose love for his family and friends will forever be etched in our hearts.

Roger Vasquez will be truly missed, yet his memory will resonate through the stories and joys he imparted to everyone he met. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love he so greatly shared.
