Thomas Kevin Cahill III, a beloved son, brother, and friend, left this world on July 19, 2025, at his home. Born on February 27, 1984, he grew up in Oak Forest and graduated from Oak Forest High School, Class of 2002. His passion for life and loving spirit earned him a cherished place in the hearts of all those who knew him.

As a devoted trade show worker with Decorators Union Local 17, Thomas was known for his warmth and sociable character. He had an incredible ability to connect with others, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Friends and colleagues alike would describe him as a loving person with a big heart, always eager to support those in need. His enthusiasm extended beyond work to his hobbies, where he passionately cheered for his favorite teams—Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Bears. Additionally, he shared a great love for Morgan Wallen’s country music, often found enjoying tunes that resonated with his down-to-earth nature.

Thomas will be deeply missed by his family, including his caring mother Tammy Nickel and step-father Rick Nickel. His father, Thomas Cahill., along with his brother Corey Cahill and sister Nicole Cahill and sister-in-law Jessica Cahill, will carry forward the memories of the love they shared. He was a proud uncle to his nephew Connor Cahill and his niece Sylvia Cahill, who were undeniably bright spots in his life. His extended family, including aunts, uncles, and cousins, also cherish the moments they spent together with him.

Thomas now joins his departed loved ones, including his grandfather Thomas Kevin Cahill Sr., grandmother Marilyn Cahill, grandfather John George Becker Sr., grandmother Joyce Becker "nana", uncle and godfather John George Becker Jr., and aunt and godmother Laura Cahill. Their presence will forever be felt in the love and happy memories he leaves behind.

A visitation to celebrate his life will be held on July 28, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McKenzie Funeral Home, located at 15618 S Cicero Ave, Oak Forest, IL 60452. This will provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together, share stories, and honor the memory of a remarkable man whose light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of many.
